Where do you come from Wind in the Night

Feeling your power and noise but no sight

Have you a message, what is your tale

Have you met mountains and spruces that wail

Why did you come here Wind of the North

Do you bring Tales of my far Solway Shore

A noise of the Tide I hear on your voice

A cry of a Gull forgotten above

Waves I can hear on that Lonely Shore

Where do you go to Wind of the Night

Far to a place beyond my sight

Strong you blow then down you go

With only a whisper as you pass through the night

Blow through the branches and dance through the grass

Where do you go to Wind in the Night

Cooling me down as I stand on my Path

You gave me a message though I know not how

Tell me its meaning tell me its tale

Then tell me friend Wind shall we ever meet again
