Editorial Spring 2001 The
first signs of spring are now befalling us up here in the Borders. The festive
period is but a distant memory and thoughts are now focused on that most welcome
of chores.. summer holidays and the sun! It has
been a very eventful winter not always for the right reasons. Phil decided to
take an unplanned 3 month break from work due to a heart attack! He is now well
on the road to recovery having not long since returned to work. The
weather has been very, very wild as we have had the lot. Particularly bad were
the three days we found ourselves without any power. Making toast on the fire!!! Beryl has just returned from her months working
trip to Florida sporting a very
nice tan. Her exploits can be read inside this action packed issue. All the
regulars are here as well as Bernard’s Name Search. Sorry but last time we
forgot to include the clues. Mere technical hitch!!! Phil is journeying off to the sun destination; TENERIFE at the
end of March for a week. Linda
and Andrew will hopefully be uprooting from there secluded cottage to the hustle
and bustle of hectic Ayton. They are the GROUND FORCE team!! We are
always on the lookout for budding writers and artists and would love some
feedback as to the content of the newsletter and some welcome articles for
inclusion into the Summer edition. So get writing. Happy
reading folks and enjoy the fruits of spring and that lovely warm
sun……………..The team |
